Faculty Member, Humanities and Human Sciences
Associate Professor of Psychology
About
Courses I teach:
*Social Psychology (Social Constructionism/Critical theory)
*Interpersonal Relations (use Structuralism and Post-structuralist accounts of inter-subjectivity)
*Research in the Human Sciences (qualitative research, phenomenological content analysis, grounded theory, ethnography)
*Psychology of Consciousness (Neurophenomenology/Jungian/Eastern Philosophy)
Research:
Lately I've been utilizing neurophenomenology (see attached papers), Foucauldian discourse analysis (or simply CDA), feminist epistemology, and in general post-structural work to critique the many ways in which natural science empirical knowledge about the brain is used to reduce, subjugate and oppress others – especially in terms of so-called personality traits/disorders, learning (dis)ability, gender, sexual preference, morality and so on.
